Leigh is a native of Cabarrus County who grew up in and around residential real estate! She joined her father, Darrell Thomas, in the business in 2000. Leigh believes strongly in building lasting client relationships, and as a result, over 70% of her business is referrals from current and past clients or from other top Realtors nationwide. Leigh is also a strong believer in continuing education. She is a member of several real estate networks, including the CyberStars (top 240 agents nationally) and StarPower.
She has attained several designations-which is proof of her belief in ongoing and higher education. ABR is the Accredited Buyer Representative designation, which is earned by completing education and by working with buyers on an exclusive representation basis. CRS is the Certified Residential Specialist designation, which is earned by achieving a high level of closed transactions (EXPERIENCE!) on a consistent basis in addition to completing several extensive classes. CLHMS is the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist designation, earned by completing education and by working extensively in the luxury home arena. She has the knowledge and expertise to sell your home, or help you locate the perfect home as well. Leigh completed the intensive Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) training to help families in financial distress find options to foreclosure-specifically, the short sale option. The SFR, Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource designation, also provided additional education on helping families through the short sale experience. Her ecoBroker training provided in-depth knowledge of the Green movement in real estate and in building, as consumers learn more about Green building options. The ePro designation was achieved through demonstration of superior technology skills, as related to real estate. Five Star is a prestigious designation awarded to real estate agents who demonstrate expertise and professionalism to the REO (real estate owned, or Foreclosure) industry. Leigh believes strongly in representing foreclosure properties as accurately as traditional resale properties. Last but not least, Leigh has earned the SRES, Seniors Real Estate Specialist, designation, which is extensive training regarding the best practices for helping Seniors navigate a quickly changing real estate market.
Leigh and her husband, Steve, live in Harrisburg with their two children and two cats. In her (rare) free time, Leigh enjoys working with the children at her church, Mallard Creek Presbyterian, singing, and playing piano.

Leigh Strickland joined Leigh Brown & Associates in October 2010 as the Client Care Coordinator. She coordinates closings and is our bank liasion throughout the short sale process. If you are buying or selling a home, Leigh will work with you to make the experience an easy one. She and her husband have bought and sold several houses, so she is familiar with both sides of the process.
Leigh and her husband, Bryan, live in Concord with their son, Nathan. Since they are still new to the area, they spend their spare time exploring their new surroundings. -
