In case you are ever offered a 'deal' by an onsite, builder's agent, to leave your buyer agent out of the deal...think twice.  That onsite agent is working for the builder-not for you-and if you don't have representation, that person is making double their normal commission. Do you think your best interests are really in mind if they have more money at stake?  Remember that you benefit from buyer representation with a builder as much or more than on resale homes.  Agents can walk with you through the process of selecting lots, floorplans, upgrades-all with resale in mind so that you can maximize your investment.  Also, if a problem arises, the agent is more powerful in working with the builder since that agent represents future business for the builder in that neighborhood and in others.  if you're paying the same thing for the house either way, why sell yourself short?  Allow a professional to protect your best interests!  I welcome the opportunity to partner with builders and with you in making a dream home a reality!
